Stage Three - The first half of Year Two
Mid-Year LDJC and Post-Fellowship Conversation
The Mid Year LDJC Conversation is for you to step back and reflect on your growth towards your commitments to self, other and India. It will help you make connections between how you have evolved as a teacher- leader and your outcomes. This will also be an opportunity for you to start solidifying/concretizing the role you wish to play in the movement towards ed-equity post your Fellowship. You will leverage the reflection you have made in the last few months about your evolving Personal Theory of Change, explore the need of the ed landscape around and bring those two together to identify the pathways and domains you envision yourself working in. This conversation will be anchored in fostering that clarity and deciding next steps to build conviction in the same!

Participating in Opt-In Tracks
Your city's ecosystem of support might have opportunities for your own learning and growth (content tracks, communities of practice, contextual upskilling spaces like creating safe spaces for adolescent mental health, etc.) or opportunities to accelerate and advance the learning of others through Advisor tracks, leading legacy projects and city student events, etc. You can make strategic choices for your development as a teacher and as a leader, in alignment with the needs of your classroom as well as your strengths, interests, and aspirations. This is also a platform for you to connect with your peers and the wider city ecosystem!

Goal setting for the year
A crucial part of the Year 2 journey is really sitting down and thinking about what your students and you want to create by the end of the year. Now that you have built deep connections with your students and understood their needs through the first year of the Fellowship, you begin your second year by setting contextualised and ambitious goals for every child's growth in your classroom. These goals then become key to revisit, track and reflect upon through the year with your students. Along with your classroom, you will set goals for yourself as a teacher and leader so that you are able to track your own growth alongside your students.

Stage Three Milestones
Student Mid-Year Assessments
At the end of the first half of the year, your students will answer the National standardized assessment. Through this process, they will have the opportunity to showcase what they have learnt through that time. You will know how much each student has learnt and what they are struggling with and gauge the effectiveness of your interventions (differentiation, unit plans, the summer learning packets, etc.) During this time, you will also spend time with each child and their parents to celebrate the holistic progress they have made and identify ways for them to strengthen the same. This will give both you and your students clear next steps to enhance their learning through the second half of the year and optimize that time to achieve the goals and vision you set for yourselves.

Strengthening Teaching Practice
The first few months of the 2nd year are all about gaining depth and mastery in the competencies you have built in Year 1 to deliver the strongest outcomes with your students in the classroom. Together, your students and you work towards bringing alive your classroom vision and culture plan. You will engage with multiple resources, opportunities, and experiences that will consistently push your vision of excellence of what transformational outcomes can look like. Here is where you step out of your comfort zone further, experiment, and customize your teaching practices to empower every single child in your classroom.

Planning and Executing my BTCP
An exciting part of your Year 2 journey is going to be materializing the change you envision for your classroom, school or community through the Be The Change Project, towards solving a problem you have identified. During the first half of the year, you will spend time immersing yourself in the context through research, solidifying the plans for the project, and mobilizing resources and people towards executing the same over the year. You will make project plans, create and deliver pitches, establish a system for monitoring impact and ensure that all the stakeholders involved in this are meaningfully engaged throughout. It is going to be an incredible amount of learning and growth for the leader in you, as you work towards sustainable change for our children!

Welcoming the New Cohort
A very special milestone in your ear two will be welcoming the incoming cohort into the city. This is incredibly special because this is exactly where you were a year ago and you now have the opportunity to support an entire cohort of new Fellows as they navigate the challenges of their first year and learn some life-long lessons. For many of you, one or more of these Fellows will be your co-Fellows and co-teachers. You will have the opportunity to transfer the skills you have built with students to working with adults, supporting them, and inducting them into the culture of your city and your school team.
